When I was ten, my grandmother so impressed me at a family gathering with individual cherry tarts that after she passed away a couple years later, I took on baking as an homage to her aesthetic and generosity.

I am interested in unusual combinations of flavors as well as classics, and with more concerns about gluten-allergies and aversions to sugar among those who enjoy my creations, I seek recipes that don’t compromise on flavor, though I never sway far from butter and sugar, instead believing that a good dessert is not about consuming in quantity, but appreciating small portions that satisfy with pure, fresh flavors.
